~5+++ ADDICTING STARS!!!~
This is one of those books that you can't read without cringing, swearing and continuously feeling these painful tugging in your chest. I personally found it really hard to read. The whole book was written entirely on Lily's POV. It was torture reading her binges, and if it weren't for the author's amazing portrayal of Lily's addiction I would have easily hated her for constantly choosing to sleep around rather than focusing her attention to Lo who was clearly enamored with her. I was really impressed by how the author handled writing Lily's internal struggles with her addiction that I can't help but sympathize with her and root for her to get well. I kept asking myself while reading the book if what's worse, being a sex addict or an alcoholic.
Sure it was clear that their relationship was doomed from the start if they can't properly deal with their addictions but that did not stop them from trying to be together. As I've said before, it was really hard to read Lily's internal struggles throughout their relationship. She was struggling with inappropriate thoughts that made me scared to think that she might act up on them and finally cheats on Lo. I kept thinking, NO! NO! STOP IT! it made me think if these were really what goes on through sex addicts' minds. It was terrifying.
The ending was inevitable and heart breaking. For me it was a little bit of a cliffhanger but not really a WTF cliffhanger moment, but rather a promise of a better future for the both of them. I wish that the next books include Lo's POV as well. I really what to know what goes through his head before their relationship began (It won't be pretty for sure).
Overall, I found another series favorite!! I LOVED IT!!! and can't wait for the next books. :)
